Unique piece.
Reproduction/interpretation of a long two handed italian sword from the Bardini's Museum in Firenze (Italy).
The long lenticular blade has a 3 fullered ricasso with engravings inspired from the original model.
We can see the martyr St Sebastian on the recto and St Roch on the other side.
A gold inlay takes place recto/verso after the long central fuller. It represents a cross.
The crossguard is finely forged and is decorated with file decors and floral engravings.
The handle is made of linden covered with handcrafted silk velvet with a hand tinted silk cord in hexagonal shape.Like some other models of the same period.
The catch in hand is optimum in my view.
The drop-shape pommel has some twisted decors made with files as the crossguard extremities.
The pommel and the two rings of the handle are gilded.
The engravings are made by hands with chisel.
The blade, the guard, the pommel and the two rings of the handle are forged.
Every part are polished by hands.
